London 2012 Gifted and Talented Project
In the build up to the London 2012 Olympic Games, we will be encouraging students to get involved in various activities. Aimed primarily at Gifted and Talented students, we want to develop the skills that students have through fun activities.
The first project to be set up is the Art and Design Project, where students are being asked to design their own version of Wenlock and Mandeville, the London 2012 mascots. They have to take inspiration from their local area and celebrate what is good about where they live. They will encompass their ideas into their designs. Once the designs are complete they will be forwarded to the organisers of the games to chooose a winner. Top prizes include days out to London, meeting Olympic stars and having their design become the official 2012 Mascots!
