Sri Lanka

During week commencing 9th - 13th March 2009 we welcomed our visitors from Sri Lanka.  Our new global partnership is between our school, Bordesley Green Girls School, St Anne's and Daluwakotuwa Girls School.

Romaine Koelmeyer visited our school from our partner school St Anne's Maha Vidyalaya Government School in Daluwakotuwa, which is near Nagombo in Western Sri Lanka.  During her visit she attended many different lessons to gain an understanding of the range of subjects studied and the teaching methods used in the classroom.

Each school will be involved in 4 projects:  Weather Project, Art Project, Recycling Project and learning a new ball game.

Romaine thanked all our staff and students for her warm welcome to our school and returned to Sri Lanka with many fond memories.
